It started with a scare we never want you to feel

One evening our rescue dog Mochi chewed through a toy we'd bought on a whim—and we watched, helpless, as it splintered into pieces no pet should ever swallow. We turned the package over and couldn't pronounce half of what was in it, let alone trust it. In that quiet, scared moment, we realized just how important pet-product safety really is, and how little thought we'd ever given it before. What we came to want was simpler than a better product—it was a different way of caring. Things in our home that are safe to live with, honest about what they're made of, gentle on the planet our pets will inherit, and kind to every creature along the way. Opulpet grew slowly from that wish: everyday objects for the animals we share our homes with, made the way we'd want them made for the ones we love most. No hard pitch—just the standard we'd set for our own family.
